How we warranty our products
Consumer Warranty
Patio Furniture Direct warrants all our residential use aluminum outdoor patio furniture frames for 10 years and our teak and resin frames for 3 years. It's good from the day you buy it. But it no longer applies to a new owner should you sell the furniture. If your Patio Furniture Direct frame fails structurally during normal use, or if the finish peels, cracks or blisters within 10 years from the date of purchase, we will do one of the following: Repair, refinish or replace the outdoor furniture frame at manufacturer's discretion�with the same or similar product if discontinued�without charge. This includes parts and labor. What's more, Patio Furniture Direct will pay freight costs for the first year in the Continental U.S. In addition, the 5, 3 and 1-year warranties below also apply.
Commercial Warranty
We warrant all our commercial use outdoor patio furniture frames for 3 years from date of purchase. Commercial use means use in any public area. If your Patio Furniture Direct frame fails structurally during normal use, or if the finish peels, cracks or blisters within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will do one of the following: Repair, refinish or replace the outdoor furniture frame at manufacturer's discretion� with the same or similar product if discontinued� without charge. This includes parts and labor during the first year in the Continental U.S. What's more, Patio Furniture Direct will pay freight costs for the first year in the Continental U.S. In addition, the 5, 3 and 1-year warranties below also apply.
For 3 Years
We warrant all our vinyl straps and lacing against breakage for 3 years from the purchase date. This covers breakage not color change due to sun fading. In the unlikely event that a strap breaks or pulls loose, Patio Furniture Direct will supply a replacement strap free of charge. (Labor not included.)
For 1 Year
We warrant our straps against discoloration for 1 year from the purchase date. This warranty applies provided normal maintenance and care have been implemented on your outdoor furniture. In the unlikely event that a strap becomes grossly discolored, Patio Furniture Direct will supply a replacement strap free of charge. (Labor not included.) Strap replacement do to discoloration is at vinyl supplier's discretion. Solid surface table tops used in residential areas are warranted against manufacturer's defect for 3 years. Patio Furniture Direct will pay residential freight costs for the first year in the Continental U.S.
For 1 Year
We also warrant the fabrics on our patio cushions, patio and market umbrellas and slings for 1 year against tearing, discoloration or fading. We warrant the following for 1 year from the purchase date: Finish on coiled steel spring rocker mechanisms; patio cushion fills; glides; hardware; wheels; connectors; table rims; metal patio umbrellas; and patio umbrella bases. Solid surface table tops are warranted against manufacturer's defects for 1 year. Patio Furniture Direct will pay commercial freight costs for the first year in the Continental U.S. Labor costs are included for the first year from purchase.
What Our Warranties Don't Cover
- Failure caused by unreasonable or abusive use
- Failure caused by lack of reasonable and necessary care and maintenance
- Wear and fading due to exposure to ocean air (such as beach front property)
- Normal fading of fabrics or upholstery materials
- Acts of Nature
- Glass tabletops
- Commercial acrylic table tops with patio umbrella holes
- Commercial steel swivel mechanisms
- Cracking or bursting of tubing due to exposure to water and freezing temperatures
- Changes in wood color due to natural aging of the wood
- Return freight after 3 years (Residential) and 1 year (Commercial)
Warranty And Proof Of Purchase
Warranty is valid for the original buyer from the date of purchase only. Proof of purchase is required. Pictures or inspection may also be required.
Umbrella Warranty
Patio umbrellas are warranted for 1 year against splitting, rusting or other manufacturing defects from normal exposure conditions. All patio umbrella bases are warranted for 1 year. Fabrics are warranted for 1 year. At the discretion of the manufacturer, a damaged part will be replaced free of charge with proof of purchase.
What's Not Covered
- Wind damage
- Failure caused by unreasonable or abusive use
- Failure caused by customer neglect�not providing reasonable and necessary care
What's Not Covered
Abusive or unreasonable use. Normal wear and tear including fading and discoloration caused by chemical contact. Acts of nature including fire, ice and wind damage. Non-proprietary items such as glass or other table top surfaces. Return freight after one year from purchase.
